Bundles of Lean Automation practices and principles and their impact on operational performance

The objective of this paper is two-fold. First, it aims at empirically validating bundles Lean Automation (LA) practices and principles. Second, verifies their impact on operational performance improvement. For that, we surveyed 110 manufacturers who have been concomitantly implementing Production (LP) Industry 4.0 (I4.0). collected responses were examined using multivariate data analysis techniques. We identified three LA named according to the focus corresponding (i.e. workplace, value stream extended stream), two principles (sociocultural- technology-oriented). Our findings indicated that positively mediate relationship between company's performance, especially when considering applied a workplace or level. As integration I4.0 into LP becomes widespread, paradigm tends be more relevant topic in operations management field. Hence, profound comprehension principles, implications companies' may help achieve higher setting proper managerial expectations.
